The Execution

The site superintendents and general foremen of today need instant and mobile access to a
wide variety of digital documents. By providing high-bandwidth wireless services to entire construction
sites, as well as full-service ruggedized TechSite connectivity platforms, SullyMac is enabling site
operators to achieve greater productivity and efficiency through streamlined coordination with architects,
engineers, general contractors, and sister trades.

Key aspects of the project:

  • Provisioned and deployed new Meraki MR62, MR66, and MR74 ruggedized wireless access points.
Configured the Meraki Dashboard to provide construction site-specific wireless SSID’s, bandwidth
throttling, and layer 7 firewall policies.
  • Worked with site installation personnel and project managers to establish access-point placement based on connectivity requirements.
  • Provided installation and termination of new Category 6 network cabling to each new device, enabling network speed capabilities of up to 1 gigabit per second.
  • Performed testing and signal shaping, ensuring that newly-deployed wireless access points were providing the appropriate degree of service to every corner of each site.

SullyMac TechSite Connectivity Platforms:

Utilizing Cradlepoint IBR900 LTE mobile routers with cellular uplink and local wired and wireless connectivity, ruggedized TechSite connectivity platforms are purpose-built to offer a suite of digital services to key personnel.

Each mobile TechSite includes 50” flatscreen LED display, mounted iPad, high-performance small form factor fanless PC with high-end graphic processing capability, and external rugged antenna to provide wireless connectivity to users in the area surrounding the unit. All systems connect to local site power under normal conditions, but have the ability to fail-back to locally installed UPS if external power is lost. Provided detailed training to site users, ensuring that they had a sound working knowledge of all systems.
