The Client

The Boston Globe’s new modern printing plant is a state of the art and unconventional printing press. New technology supported by a German computer firm, the Taunting print publishing plant is intended to change the Globe’s old ways of printing. The new presses are planned to decrease cost and increase efficiencies in printing. This new facility will also sublease other newspaper’s printing needs. The facility will decrease costs by increasing efficiencies as well as revenue by printing for hire for other newspaper fixtures.

The Execution

SullyMac’s solution was to plan, and then execute, the plan in an efficient manner. Due to great jobsite supervision and excellent support labor from local 223, we were able to meet and exceed the schedule requirements. Out of the ordinary solutions, such as paralleled THHN feeder cable within the cable tray, allowed us to save space and time.
