John has served as SullyMac’s president since 2009. Under his leadership, the company has grown to be one of the largest electrical contractors in New England, all while maintaining a collaborative, family-oriented atmosphere and an energetic, can-do spirit. His focus on nimble and versatile business strategies has made it possible for SullyMac’s team to successfully complete sophisticated projects of any size in every market sector.
John joined SullyMac in 1991, following in his father’s footsteps and learning from hardworking, dedicated mentors along the way. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis., and graduated from Boston College High School in Dorchester, where he later served on the board of trustees and participated on the buildings and grounds subcommittee.
John is also on the board of the National Electrical Contractor Association and is involved with St. Peter’s Parish in Dorchester and Partners of Health in Haiti. He has been recognized by Building Pathways, a Boston-based pre-apprentice program for underserved communities, for his contributions to their program and for SullyMac’s status as the largest employer of Building Pathways graduates.
John lives in Milton with his wife and three sons.
John leads SullyMac’s sales and business development divisions, where he applies the principles of transparency, trust, respect and service to every client relationship. His approach: hire dedicated, talented construction professionals and empower them to make the best decisions for SullyMac and its customers.
John brings decades of sales experience to SullyMac and the construction industry. He joined the company in 1997, after completing an extensive sales training early in his career at Agfa Compugraphic. Before joining SullyMac, John also held leadership positions in commercial finance at AIG, where he oversaw a sales group that covered the Midwest’s major cities, and at General Electric.
John earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Saint Michael’s College near Burlington, Vt. He serves on the joint apprentice training committee for IBEW Local 223, the legislative committee for IBEW Local 103, and on the construction management industry advisory board at Wentworth Institute of Technology. Previous board service includes advising the New England Conservatory of Music. He was also the president of Duxbury Youth Hockey and on the parent advisory committee at Tabor Academy.
John lives with his wife in Duxbury, where they raised their three children.
Dennis joined the SullyMac team in 2008 after spending over 20 years building Standard Electric into the region’s largest and most successful independent electrical distributor. Now, as SullyMac’s CEO, Dennis spends the majority of his time working with the leadership and management teams on major organizational, operational, and strategic initiatives to help ensure the company’s continued and sustainable success.
Andrew brings nearly two decades of experience to his role as Chief Operating Officer. Formerly the Vice President of Preconstruction Estimating, Andrew played a critical role in shaping the company’s strategic approach to project development, overseeing all company bids and future business opportunities.
As COO, Andrew now leads daily operations with a strong focus on operational efficiency, cross-functional collaboration, and client satisfaction. His deep understanding of project lifecycles—from conceptual design through delivery—allows him to align teams and resources with the company’s long-term vision and performance goals.
A results-driven leader known for his attention to detail and commitment to excellence, Andrew continues to drive innovation and growth while ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Andrew has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Northeastern University and lives in Millis with his wife and three young sons.
As the Vice President of the Electrical Construction Division (ECD) Skip is focused on the overall success of the division. He is responsible for leadership of the project management team, client relations, budgeting and sales while also continuing to foster the productive and successful team culture that has been built at SullyMac.
With 30+ years of industry experience including 20 years in management, Skip has developed a remarkable ability to lead teams, drive strategic initiatives and navigate the complex challenges of the Boston construction landscape. His experience and background as a Local 103 electrician combined with his ability to build personal and customer relationships has helped shape his understanding of sophisticated projects from conception to completion
Skip lives in Needham with his wife of 30 years where they raised their 3 sons.
Dave, who joined SullyMac in 1996, oversees the Customer Solutions Division (CSD) including electrical, teledata, security, fire alarm, building automation controls, network integration, and electrical maintenance and testing components of the business. His collaborative, solutions-oriented approach helps guide SullyMac’s project management teams through complicated projects and build positive relationships with customers.
Dave came to SullyMac as a foreman in the apprenticeship program, eventually moving to the project management side and joining the leadership team in 2017. He attended the University of Massachusetts Boston and is involved in the National Electrical Contractors Association and Building Industry Consulting Services International. Dave and his wife live in Dedham with their two sons.
As SullyMac’s vice president of operations, Shaun focuses on efficiency, continuous improvement, and the growth of the company’s prefabrication business. He brings over a decade of leadership and hands-on experience in the electrical construction industry. His love of construction stems from the satisfaction of creating and contributing to something tangible: setting goals, working with his hands, and achieving results.
Known for his strategic mindset and operational expertise, Shaun plays a pivotal role in streamlining workflows, implementing scalable processes, and driving continuous improvement . His commitment to operational excellence and team development supports the company’s growth and reinforces its reputation for reliability and innovation in the electrical construction field.
Shaun has been in the electrical industry since 1997 and with SullyMac since 2012. He earned a bachelor’s degree in project management from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston and a master’s degree in project management from Southern New Hampshire University. Shaun and his wife live in Quincy.
After nearly 10 years with SullyMac, Elliot joined the management team overseeing our highly skilled estimating group, all company bids and future business opportunities. Originally joining Team SullyMac with the estimating division, Elliot quickly earned a role on the project management team. He has efficiently managed some of our most complex projects with a variety of industries; commercial, healthcare and institutional. During this time, Elliot rose to become a leader within the team, naturally stepping up and earning everyone’s trust with his confidence and strategic vision.
Elliot received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Vermont. He lives in Norwell with his fiancé and is set to wed in June 2025.
As Director of Finance, Matt oversees the company’s accounting and finance operations. He is responsible for the company’s long-term financial health and growth. Establishing strategies, improving current practices and focusing on increased efficiencies. He also partners closely with division managers and project management teams to maintain budgets and help meet profit goals.
Matt joined SullyMac in 2005. With over 17 years at the company, he’s held various roles within the accounting and finance department. Matt earned his bachelor’s degree in Business from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH. He lives in his hometown, Quincy with his wife and three sons.
